Winery Wednesday – The Winery at Bull Run

#winerywednesday #wineryatbullrun

Wineries are fun and relaxing. I think that is my favorite thing about them, they are always relaxing. No pressure just enjoyable.

The only way they are even more fun is with family and friends. We met the family for this outing and enjoyed one of the best days ever. I’ll probably say this often because I mean come on when is relaxing with family, drinking a bit of wine, and eating fantastic food not fun. Uh never would be the right answer. It is always fun.

I’m not gonna lie when we first rolled up on to this beautiful property I was like um oh my gosh this place is packed. It was for sure, but the space is abundant and once you are out of your car and strolling around you don’t mind. In fact I was in awe of the shear number of folks there all enjoying their time and how it didn’t feel packed around us.

The Winery has designated two outside areas for the comfort of all our guests. The front yard (1 acre) and patio are 21 years of age and over only. The back yard (2 acres) and adjacent patio are designated for adults and children. Children are welcome in the Tasting Room and within the winery.”

While there is just a lot of people there on weekends, I still felt that our tasting was personable and not rushed. A great experience and pretty much loved all the wines we tasted. Remember wineries for me are about the atmosphere I am not a hard judge on wines. I really appreciate what goes into winemaking and will be hard-pressed to find a wine I hate. I promise if I do I will tell you.

We got to see a couple getting married in the Hillwood Ruins, such a pretty spot for sure. I personally would choose a morning wedding if you do choose this outdoor spot as you have a full view of all the folks and they can be loud too, lol.

You won’t be disappointed in the atmosphere or the wine, so definitely stop by and bring your picnic, by a bottle of wine, and just relax.
