Some years I can wait patiently until Thanksgiving arrives and we enjoy a day of cooking and family togetherness and then gleefully we awake the next morning bright and early to get to shopping. This year I can hardly wait for Thanksgiving and then for our Black Friday shopping adventure to begin. I truly love the whole process. Now mind you I no longer have to wait in the line for that truly fabulous toy I must have for one of my children but I now get to look for other various fun things that might catch my eye but I no longer feel that urgency to make sure I leave with what I came for.
Over the years as the kids have grown older Black Friday has become a tradition of sorts. It transformed from me standing in the dark in the Toy R Us line waiting for the latest and greatest toy, to now my gang gets up bright and early with me and we head out together. It has become this fun and joyous tradition that I now look forward to each year. We hunt for movies and TV series. We laugh about some of the deals and we are always thankful that there is really no need for us to be out, but there is a want to be out and about together just for fun. So we don’t feel upset if we miss a deal and of course we are thrilled when we find and attain the greatest deal of the day.
In preparation for both Black Friday and Cyber Monday I will spend this week locating and posting great upcoming deals for both you and me. =)

Don’t forget the gift of magazine subscriptions. I love giving and receiving magazine subscriptions. My step-mom and I are gleefully sharing tidbits from one of our favorite magazines Taste of Home, I gave her the subscription last Christmas and I will definitely be renewing it for her this year, she really enjoys the magazine each month and so do I.
