Winery Wednesday – Wilderness Run Vineyards

Today’s winery is a real hidden gem. Well probably just hidden from me, because everyone else there seemed to know about the music and the beautiful scenery.

We’ve been here before but it was a couple of years ago on a cold fall day after work and the heat hadn’t quite kicked in, so the charm might have escaped me at that time. This visit made of that two-fold. Great atmosphere, the service was great and the wine was good. It didn’t hurt that they were offering a Sangria either.

Anyway, we were contemplating what to do last Saturday afternoon. We decided a winery would be relaxing, but we didn’t feel like driving too far so we decided Wilderness Run Vineyards would be the choice. For us, it is like a 15-minute ride. We pulled in and the lot was full, oh no it was going to be packed.

While it was busy the area to relax is vast, the tasting room is big and here you’ll find a spot to bring a chair and sit or a table to sit down at and relax.
I just can’t say enough about this vineyard. What we found in this gem is a spot to come and relax and listen to music not just during the day but off into the evening. They’re open until 9pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. So now you have a great date night spot, place to meet up with friends, listen to music and sip on a nice wine or beer.

We were there for the wine but I’ll include the details for both the vineyard and brewery.

I am not sure of the tasting fee as we didn’t do a tasting
Super kid-friendly, they have horses and donkeys that come down from the pasture to eat and socialize with the humans. A food truck that had some really great food.

We ended up doing the wine tasting and enjoying 2 bottles of wine along with their cheese and meat platter for 2 which I failed miserably and forgot to get a photo. It was filled with grapes, cheese, crackers, meat, then meat wrapped cheese, hummus, celery, peppers and 2 chocolates which wrapped that up nicely. I’ll get that again for sure.

What’s special:
Both a Winery and a Brewary

Live music on the weekendsAnimalsLate hours on the weekend so you can relax with your honey or a group of friends, enjoy the music and sip on a favorite beverage.
